1. Stream Forwarding & Data Minimization

ViddyDrop does not require user accounts, passwords, or email addresses to use the media conversion service. When you submit a public media link, our servers use native streaming subprocesses to extract available formats and deliver the data directly to your browser as an HTTP chunked stream. Downloaded media files are not permanently stored on our servers.

2. Defined Data Retention Schedules

To operate the downloader, enforce abuse prevention, and maintain service availability, we apply strict time-bounded retention schedules:

• Operational Download Queue (2-Hour Window): When a format is selected, a short-lived job record (consisting of a random job identifier, requested quality, and source URL) is maintained for up to 2 hours to allow your browser to initiate and complete the download stream. After 2 hours, the source URL is permanently scrubbed to an expired marker during periodic cleanup cycles.
• Operational Metrics & Security Logs (24-Hour Rolling Purge): To detect automated scraping, mitigate denial-of-service abuse, and monitor error rates, we record timestamped operational metrics. Client IP addresses undergo data minimization upon ingestion (IPv4 addresses have their last octet masked to a /24 subnet; IPv6 addresses are truncated to a /48 prefix to reduce precision rather than guarantee complete anonymity). Device data is categorized coarsely as Desktop, Mobile, or Tablet. All operational log entries are purged on a rolling basis within 24 hours as cleanup cycles run.
• In-Memory Connection Throttling: Per-minute rate limits operate strictly in volatile server memory (RAM) and reset every 60 seconds. In-memory counters are cleared every 5 minutes.

3. Cookies & Advertising Disclosures

ViddyDrop does not use tracking cookies to build behavioral profiles. Administrative session cookies are used solely to authenticate authorized site operators.

As of this revision, third-party advertising network scripts and personalized ad-tracking cookies are not active on ViddyDrop. If advertising or sponsorship networks are enabled in future releases, this policy will be updated with the specific provider names, their respective privacy policies, and opt-out mechanisms.

4. Children's Privacy

The service is directed at general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe personal information has been submitted without parental consent, contact us for prompt removal.
